‘Transparent’ Creator Jill Soloway talks about Khloe Kardashian

Etonline.com: When Transparent returns to Amazon for its third season on Friday, Sept. 23, Caitlyn Jenner will make her highly anticipated debut on the show.

Playing herself, which ET first reported back in July, Jenner appears in a dream sequence during a game of Wheel of Fortune. The moment is trippy, fun and a way for Jenner to make a cameo “with a lot of humor,” creator Jill Soloway tells ET, “and invite a lot people to enjoy the confluence rather than question whether or not it’s realistic.”

While the Emmy-winning series first premiered in 2014 ahead of Caitlyn Jenner’s transition and coming out as a transgender woman, the two have become intrinsically linked as the show tells the story of Maura Pfefferman (Jeffrey Tambor), a family patriarch, who comes out as a transgender woman to her ex-wife and three kids. The show itself is loosely based on Soloway’s family, but the similarities between TV and reality were uncanny.

It’s like the Pfeffermans have evolved with the Jenners and the Kardashians,” Jay Duplass, who plays Josh Pfefferman, says. “It’s been a weird symbiotic thing. Caitlyn has told us directly that watching Transparent with her family helped figure out the transition. They were able to watch together and to laugh and talk about the real stuff going on there.”

“I had a beautiful phone call from Caitlyn after the first season, letting me know how much the show helped her and her family,”

Soloway says of the relationship that has formed between her and Jenner, which now includes regular texting.

“As a huge Kardashians fan, that’s potentially a high point moment in my life. I’m imagining Khloe Kardashian watching what I’ve written. I could die.”

Women around the world can’t wait the new collection of Khloe Kardashian

As if Khloe Kardashian didn’t have enough of her plate, the fashion mogul is now launching a denim line. Dubbed Good American, Kardashian’s line is designed to be figure-flattering for every body type. You could hear a collective sigh from women around the world as we learned Good American will carry sizes 0-24. Thank you, Khlo Money!

She has been Snapchatting from New York, where she is promoting the new denim line. She excitedly announced the name on Wednesday via social media to eager fans and fashionistas alike. Her snaps included blue jeans and white denim with plenty of rips and tears in true Khloe style. Nordstrom said the denim line is “redefining sexy” in a tweet sent out yesterday. And yes, we would have to agree!

So when can you expect to shimmy into your own pair of Kardashian denim? As early as October 18! If you want to be one of the first to shop Kardashian’s brand new denim line, Bustle recommends heading over to the brand’s site to create your account. Account may be too strong of a term, but goodamerican.com does currently require shoppers to sign in. This may be a temporary means to generate excitement— as if there isn’t enough already— and is also a way for the denim line’s marketing team to reach prospective customers.

I don’t know about you, but I am not opposed to receiving email updates regarding Khloe’s denim line! So of course, I signed up to shop. I immediately received an email from team Kardashian telling me I will be one of the first to know when the denim line drops! Oh, yes. I highly suggest you “get on the list” as well. I have a feeling Khloe’s new fashion endeavor is going to be something to see.

The site alone is enough to make anyone want to buy a pair of Good American jeans. It’s a simple photo of Kardashian holding an American flag out behind her with the launch date subtly typed across the screen. Khloe herself is wearing a coral pink lipstick and dainty necklace, and that’s about all you can see of the blonde beauty. It really is simple and alluring.

Fans are well aware of Khloe’s struggle with body issues and weight loss, so knowing she’s got our back with this all-inclusive denim line is a great thing. Fashion sites such as Bustle and Nordstrom are also excited for Kardashian’s newest venture. But they’re not the only ones. Fans have taken to social media to leave comments supporting the Good American line.

Facebook comments range from pure joy to questions concerning costs:

“I can not be more happy about the range in sizes. It is so hard to find jeans when you are a size 16!! Thank you Khloe for supporting the curvy girls.”

Yes! We’re right there with you, Krystal! And Facebook user Debra brought up a good point as well:

“Ok so like this an amazing step forward in your career and you can totally charge whatever you want I guess, but could these pants not be a zillion dollars so that way all women of all shapes and sizes can finally buy a good pair of pants without blowing their utilities payment?”

Please, Khloe, listen to the masses and make these wonderful jeans affordable for all!

The 32-year-old Kardashian wears many hats with both beauty and haircare lines, and she now has denim designer to add to her title. It was really only a matter of time before Khloe made her move to take over the denim world. As you probably know, Khlo is obsessed with good denim. Out of all three Kardashian sisters, I would trust Khloe with creating my denim over Kim and Kourtney any day.

Khloe is in NYC to promote her new denim line with The GA Project. The new line, which will be launching soon, is geared towards the “every day woman” of all shapes and sizes.

“It’s for everyone,” Khloe told Ryan Seacrest back in May. “There’s not one size that means you’re beautiful. So I really want to emphasize on that and just know there’s not a ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to beauty and the female shape.”

Khloe are launching a denim line for curvy women at Nordstrom and on Good American

The reality TV personality and fashion executive are launching a denim line for curvy women at Nordstrom and on Good American‘s web site on Oct. 18.

Khloé Kardashian has been flaunting her slimmed-down figure lately in tight jeans, and the wardrobe choice could be explained by more than a need for comfort or desire for narcissism.

The third-oldest sister in the ubiquitous Kardashian-Jenner clan is partnering with fashion executive Emma Grede on a denim label called Good American. Set to launch at Nordstrom and on its own e-commerce site on Oct. 18, Good American is a play for curvy women who might have a difficult time finding jeans that fit them.

Available in sizes 0 to 24, the line offers three silhouettes: Good Legs (skinny), Good Cuts (boyfriend) and Good Waist (high-waisted).

Sportswear staples such as bodysuits, T-shirts and sweatshirts are also part of the offering in the inaugural fall collection.

Slowly seeping information, Kardashian dropped a hint about the new project in early May. Captioning a selfie on her Instagram page, she informed her fans that she was “looking for beautiful, powerful women to star with me in a campaign for my new denim brand.” Of her 56.3 million followers, more than 587,000 liked her message, despite the paucity of details. Moreover, in two days, over 12,000 people entered and 23 were selected to appear in a marketing campaign with her.

Over the past few months, Kardashian has tried to make an impression as a denim trendsetter. She has been spotted out and about in black skinny jeans and blue high-waisted numbers. Whether tucked into boots or paired with leopard skin stilettoes, she has shown an affinity for styles that were skin-tight and subtly distressed at the knee.

Still, the reality TV personality isn’t the first to vie for dressing the full-figured female. In the Aughts, hip-hop star Nelly lent his fame to Apple Bottom Jeans. Just last month, mixed martial arts maven Ronda Rousey modeled Buffalo David Bitton’s new line of jeans called Hope, which she helped design to better fit athletic, strong, sexy women like herself, in a big fall campaign. Her sassy slogan: “a killer jean for killer babes.” Levi’s also touts the “k” word (not Kardashian) in its 800 series, dubbed “jeans contoured for killer curves.”

Call it the Battle of the Curves.
