Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are filming their newest spin off in the Hamptons this summer.
This new show will be called Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons, and the title rings all too true. Kourtney and Khloe will be opening a summer pop-up boutique for their clothing store DASH, currently located in Soho.
The show’s producers are already butting heads with S. At the Southampton Animal Shelter gala kickoff party on Saturday, Mayor Epley announced,
“The Kardashian producers told me they weren’t opening a store in Southampton, then 12 hours later they announced the store’s location. I called them and said, `You lied to me. They have got off on the wrong foot. “
The party was hosted by Jean Shafiroff and held at the Southampton Center on Jobs Lane, across the street from the soon to be Hampton DASH site. Mayor Epley is very open about his concerns over the Kardashians setting up shop in his town.
In addition to his problems with the show’s producers, the mayor voiced concerns over traffic problems as well as the safety of pedestrians caught in a whirlwind of Kardashian drama.
While Mayor Epley views the influx of traffic as a potential hazard, many local businesses welcome all the potential businesses the show will bring.
In an agreement with a local landlord, Irma Harzog, the Kardashians will be provided with a 600-foot venue at 64 Jobs Lane rent free.
Herzog believes her restaurant, The Driver’s Seat, will benefit from the new business and publicity that the show will bring. In exchange for dropping the rent, which would be $30,000 to $60,000, the Kardashians agreed to film some episodes in Herzog’s restaurant.
