Jordyn Woods has recalled how the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal sent her to a ‘dark place’, just as she confirms her new romance with NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns. The 23-year-old model became embroiled in scandal last year when it emerged she shared a kiss with Tristan Thompson, who was in a relationship with Khloe Kardashian at the time. It ended her friendship with best mate Kylie Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian family. More than a year later, Jordyn has reflected on the epic fallout and drama that ensued.
Speaking to Natalie Manuel Lee on the Hillsong Channel, Jordyn explained:
‘I’m happy that I was able to become who I am today. ‘I’m not happy that people were hurt and people had to go through what they went through. ‘It was a lot for my family, other families, friends, and not in a million years did I have an intention to do anything bad to anyone I love.’
She added: ‘I felt like I had no one. You take everything you think you know, everything that you’ve grown up doing, and you take it all away from someone. I didn’t even know how to feel.’ Jordyn went on to explain how she ‘pushed people away’ as she ‘just couldn’t trust anyone’. In the immediate aftermath of the scandal, Jordyn says she deleted all the social media apps off her phone and ‘didn’t respond to anyone’. ‘Everything in my life changed,’ she recalled.
The model added: ‘I remember just sitting in a very dark place, and I didn’t really… You know, I had my family to talk to, I had you to talk to but I felt like I had no one.’ Jordyn has now moved on from the controversy and is now dating Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony, who she was first linked to last year. The couple confirmed their romance as Jordyn celebrated her 23rd birthday earlier this week, with Karl splurging on luxury gifts and designer handbags for the model. The celebrations have continued over the weekend with Jordyn sharing photos of their romantic beach holiday.
