Business is booming in the Southamptons and it’s all because of the Kardashians?

Well, that’s what the Southampton Chamber of Commerce is thinking!

Khloe and Kourtney have definitely been unwelcome in the Southamptons since before they started filming for Khloe and Kourtney Take The Hamptons!

From stifling tips from local workers to bringing hoards of tourists to the swanky little town, the Kardashian sisters were bad news to the town folk!

That is, until they all saw a rise in business profits!

However, Mayor Mark Epley of the Southampton Village doesn’t seem to agree the business spike is due to KoKo and Kourt. He’s saying it’s all weather related!

The mayor said:

“I do know that we have had some people come to the Village just to see them. And that does have a positive effect.

I am still getting comments, some negative and some positive. I disagree that business has increased solely due to them. Business has increased, but mostly because we have had good weather and a strong economy . . . We had a new market open in the heart of the Village, which statistically increases revenue to nearby businesses by 30 percent, and a couple of nice stores such as Ralph Lauren’s Monte Carlo Collection have opened that are well priced and attract customers.”

Well, we could sit here, agree with that and talk about a number of other reasons why or how business could be booming for the local shops, but let’s be honest here.

Just knowing the Kardashians are in the area just attracts visitors far and wide!

Besides, who wouldn’t want to make a quick appearance on TV for the once high-rated reality show??
