New York Times best-selling author (Kardashian Konfidential) and the youngest of the three Kardashian girls, Khloé married NBA superstar Lamar Odom on September 27, 2009. The two shared their wedding in their very own two-hour E! Entertainment special, “A Kardashian Wedding.” This, like the family’s #1 hit reality show on the E! Network, “Keeping up with the Kardashians” – which recently completed airing its fifth season, and was the most watched telecast and highest rated show in network history, was also a record-breaking hit.
Khloé’s individual fame came in to play when she and sister Kourtney decided to break from the family and move to Miami to open up another DASH boutique. This was captured in their very own hit show on E!, “Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami,” which aired its second season this summer and similarly, delivered through the roof numbers for the network. The series focused on the launch of the new boutique and the adventures they endured. In addition to the spinoff, she was also a co-host on the hit E! show “Fashion Police” and served as a Y100 radio host which aired on the east coast.
Khloé, and sister Kim, currently are the spokeswomen for the diet product QuickTrim to complement their active and healthy lifestyles. Khloé, along with Kourtney and Kim, serve as spokeswomen for PerfectSkin, a breakthrough three-step skin care system that delivers the results that all three sisters demand for three unique skin types in one simple, easy-to-use system. Khloé can be seen in her PETA campaign ads and serves as an activist for the organization. With all these duties, she continues to co-own and work in DASH boutiques, which are located in southern California, Miami, and a recently added New York location.
Her appearance on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ furthered her interest in pursuing her goals as an entrepreneur and has since teamed up with her sisters to expand the Kardashian brand. Since fashion has always been a big part of their lives, Khloé and her sisters signed on to design five seasons for the clothing line bebe, which reflects their own individual styles. In only their first season as designers, the line sold out in three days, nationwide. This collaboration led to the sisters designing a line for QVC, called K-DASH by Kardashian, which led to the recent announcement of Khloé, Kourtney, and Kim teaming up with Bruno Schiavi on a complete brand launch encompassing apparel, home and accessories for Jupi Corporation. The initial range will include a women’s RTW collection, handbags, belts, wallets and lingerie and is expected to be in-stores by Autumn 2011 in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Germany.
In addition to designing clothes for bebe and Jupi Corporation, they have also made a natural progression into designing a line of swimwear for the very popular line Beach Bunny. The sisters have also partnered with the high-end costume jewelry line, Virgin Saints and Angels to design pieces that are inspired by their Armenian heritage. The line debuted at Nordstrom and other high-end boutiques this past spring. Since fashion and beauty seem to go hand-in-hand the Kardashian sisters have also branched out to expand their brand to the beauty world as well. Recently, Khloé, Kourtney, and Kim have created an odorless, non-streaking, non-staining self-tanning gel, Glamour Tan, which is sold exclusively at Sephora.
In Recent Years
In late 2012, Simon Cowell invited Khloé to host The X Factor, a popular music competition series.
Around this time, Khloé found herself trying to prove that she is indeed Robert Kardashian’s biological child, amidst her former stepmother’s allegations that Robert claimed Kris said Khloé wasn’t his. Rumors circulated that Khloé, whose physical appearance contrasts that of her sisters, was the product of an extramarital affair. A paternity test finally put the rumor to rest while the ordeal was recorded for an upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
In the fall of 2014, Kardashian appeared in a spinoff series with older sister Kourtney called Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons, which lasted for one season. In January 2016, she continued her reality television endeavors by starring in her own variety talk show on the FYI channel called Kocktails with Khloé, but that, too, had a one season shelf-life.
In August of 2013, rumors began to develop in regards to Kardashian’s relationship with Odom. After reports of infidelity were reported by TMZ, other reports of drug abuse began to surface as well. Not long after, it was stated through various media outlets that Kardashian reported Odom missing. Although Odom’s location and whereabouts were revealed after 72 hours by an unnamed source via ESPN, it was also confirmed in the announcement that Odom was getting help from friends for an ongoing drug abuse problem. NBA agent Jeff Schwartz confirmed that Kardashian knew of Odom’s whereabouts, telling ESPN, “Lamar is not missing. His wife knows exactly where he is.”
A few days after it was confirmed that Odom wasn’t missing, he was arrested on August 30, 2013, for suspicion of driving under the influence. Following his arrest, Odom checked into rehab under the persuasion of Kardashian, but he left after having spent slightly more than 24 hours in the facility.
Later that year, Kardashian filed for divorce from Odom. She started dating other people, including rapper French Montana and basketball pro James Harden, after separating from Odom. Still she remained concerned about him as he battled personal demons since their split.
Kardashian and Odom had yet to finalize their divorce when Odom was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada in October 2015. Despite their long separation, Kardashian rushed to the hospital where Odom was taken. Kardashian made medical decisions on his behalf. His condition was labeled as critical. In January 2016 Odom left the hospital and has been focusing on his recovery. The estranged couple officially divorced in October 2016.
Since July 2016, Kardashian has been dating NBA player Tristan Thompson.
