Khloe Kardashian Continues to Support Lamar Odom, But Is Very Worried

For nearly three months, since Lamar Odom left the hospital after his October overdose, Khloé Kardashian has been the former athlete’s primary support system, in more ways than one.

“Khloé supports Lamar financially in every way,” says a Kardashian insider. That includes springing for the rent on Odom’s $3 million Calabasas pad and footing the bill on his nearly three-month hospital stay.
But now, Odom is testing the limits of Kardashian’s generosity. The former Los Angeles Laker went out drinking with friends on March 26, the day before he celebrated Easter with the Kardashian family. (Consuming alcohol is especially dangerous for Odom given the fragile state of his kidneys following his overdose).
Now, “Khloé is very worried about Lamar and his behavior,” says the source. “But Lamar refuses to listen to her. He actually said to her, ‘Nothing will happen to me. Look how I survived the last time.‘ ”
After reports that the athlete was drinking surfaced on Tuesday, March 29, Kardashian tweeted that she felt “helpless.”
But a source close to the former baller claims that Odom wasn’t drinking and that he simply wanted a change of scenery.
“He went out with Khloe’s security to meet some friends and get out of the house. He bought them the drinks, but didn’t drink himself,” the insider claims. “Khloe’s security guard was with him, which is just like having Khloe with you. He just wanted to get out into the real world for a second and feel normal.
The source maintains that Odom, who attended Rob Kardashian’s belated birthday celebration on March 19 and the Lakers game on Wednesday, March 30, has “been so good and healthy.”

Another source close to Odom says that Kardashian isn’t footing his bills, but that as his caretaker, she simply “authorizes the management company to pay using Lamar’s money.”
“It is Lamar’s money, not her money,” the source notes.
