Eonline.com: Khloé Kardashian Odom is all about giving back.
A source tells E! News exclusively that the celeb visited the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles earlier today « to drop off some donations and stayed to serve the ladies lunch. She sat and talked to some of them. And she checked out the MADE Café. She was very nice and kind to everyone. »
A female film crew joined Khloé for her visit, which will be aired on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Several of the crewmembers were also kind enough to make cash donations to the center.
According to the organization’s website, DWC’s mission is « to provide permanent supportive housing and a safe and healthy community fostering dignity, respect, and personal ability and to advocate ending homelessness for women. It is the only resource in Los Angeles exclusively dedicated to homeless and very low income women in downtown Los Angeles Skid Row community. »
Meanwhile, MADE by DWC is a « social enterprise created by the DWC to break the cycles of chronic unemployment and homelessness by empowering women to discover talents and skills through vocational opportunities, and generates economic and social capital to support programs at DWC. »
The celeb also recently teamed up with World Wildlife Fund to boost funding for, and awareness of, the organization’s global campaign to help save wild tigers.
« I have always been a lover of exotic cats—leopard, tigers, lions, you name it, » the 29-year-old said in a video clip. « And I never knew how almost to extinction tigers were in the wild. And as soon as I became aware of that information just a few years ago, I really became passionate about just having a voice and letting people know that we need to protect our wildlife. »
