According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Moreno’s lawyers contend:

« Ryan Seacrest Productions, NBC Universal … intentionally edited substantial portions of Jose Moreno’s copyrighted musical works into television programmes which were publicly performed on prominent cable channels and viewed by millions of people.

« Defendants did so with no licence from Jose Moreno, the sole copyright owner. »

Moreno claims his music was used without consent in an episode of ‘Khloe & Lamar‘ and another show, ‘Bad Girls Club’, which airs on another NBC Universal-owned network, Oxygen.

Ryan is also the creator of E!’s hit reality show ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’.

The case will go to trial on December 2 2013.

The latest lawsuit comes just a year after Ryan’s production company settled a $100,000 lawsuit filed by Kathy Salem, a participant on ‘Shahs of Sunset’ – described as a « Persian ‘Jersey Shore' » – for allegedly painting her in a negative light on the show.
