As is often the case with moms, Kris Jenner can’t stop talking about her new granddaughter. She was the first Kardashian-Jenner to react to Khloé Kardashian giving birth last week, and after the latter announced earlier today that she was naming her baby girl “True,” Jenner kindly let us in on the meaning behind the name.
According to her Twitter, the name “True” runs in the family — it’s not just an ironic name choice.
I’m so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!! FUN FACT… my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton….my real Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!! #lovebug #familytradition #family pic.twitter.com/MFheCTYnb6

Sources tell TMZ, Tristan and Khloe decided on their daughter’s name, True Thompson, about a month ago. However, when news broke that Tristan was cheating, Khloe started having a change of heart. She didn’t know if she wanted to give the baby Kardashian or Thompson as the last name when it was time to fill out the baby’s birth certificate.
After a few days of thinking it over, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star decided to give the baby Tristan’s surname.
It took Khloe a couple days after True was born before she finally decided the right thing to do was give the baby Tristan’s surname. someone close to Khloe placed an order for blankets and other baby stuff at Petit Tresor in Bev Hills.
We’re told the order was placed right when the scandal broke and the store was told not to embroider the initials until Khloe made her decision. The call was finally made Monday to use the initials “TT” instead of “TK.”
