Reality-TV star and author Khloé Kardashian got real about love and family on The Talk Tuesday, putting the rumors about her relationship with Lamar Odom to rest.
People have been speculating about the Kocktails With Khloé host’s relationship with the basketball player ever since he was hospitalized late last year, wondering if the separated couple would rekindle their romance. The rumors intensified earlier this month when Lamar was spotted out for the first time since his hospitalization at Madison Square Garden, supporting Khloé’s brother-in-law Kanye West’s album premiere.
While she filed for divorce in 2013, Khloé has remained supportive of her former beau, stating that her actions are truly « coming from a place of real concern and love. »
« I didn’t want the divorce to happen, but it happened, » she said, adding that she has no immediate plans to reconcile, though the two are still legally married. « I still believe in my vows of being there for him … I know it’s very confusing [for the public]. »
Instead of letting the tabloids and rumors get her down, Khloé has remained strong, focusing her energy on gratitude.
« [Lamar’s] doing remarkable, it’s such a blessing, » she said. « It’s the work of God … It was so impactful [to see him walking]. »
At times, however, it hasn’t been easy for the public figure. Khloé shared her experience caring for Lamar, explaining « I feel like I’m his mom sometimes. »
Khloé admitted she’s not the only one keeping her head held high as she faces major media attention. The Strong Looks Better Naked author said that Caitlyn Jenner—whom she still calls dad—has never been better.
« She’s so much happier now, and that’s all that matters, » she said of Caitlyn’s transition.
Following such heavy topics, the hosts shifted the interview to a fun game of « Khloé’s Konfessions, » in which fans learned the inside scoop on some members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
