What it’s really like to be a Kardashian.
It’s not hard to see that being a Kardashian has its pros and cons. Khloé Kardashian who is currently doing a roster of interviews, events and travel to promote the new Kardashian Kids collection, takes it all in her stride. “It’s our job just to be repetitive and just answer the same questions and not take things too personally,” she says sitting down with Vogue on her visit to Australia.
“That’s what we’ve signed up for and some people are allowed to pry and ask whatever and so I feel like I can’t take it personally because that would be kind of silly of me. Then why did I choose what I’m doing?”
She says her sisters are her biggest supporters and makes the time for them regardless of how busy she is.
“I think even having sisters is like having a boyfriend or a husband. You have to take all your relationships and still nurture them.” In Sydney alone, as older sister Kim was unable to travel because of her second pregnancy and Kourtney has children, she says she leans on them regardless of where they are in the world. “We have to be each others’ biggest supporters or who else is? But that’s also what a family is. I think any relationship needs special attention; if you care about it, you’ll make time for it.”
When asked which question she’s most tired of answering, she pauses to think before nominating,
“Probably, ‘So why are you guys famous?’ I don’t know, why are people successful? Like the owners of Intermix? You know, we’re businesswoman too,” she says. “People want to critique or be so hard on us but obviously we’re doing a good job. We’ve had longevity so far,” she says laughing. “But a lot of people don’t like to give credit to that and that’s okay, I’m fine with that though,” she says. We think credit to her.
