My sisters and I are pretty much pros at peppering our vocab with all kinds of slang flavor. Kris tries sometimes, too, LOL. I thought I’d break down some of our most-used terms and phrases over the years. Consider yourself schooled. 😂

aye-eff: Acronym for “as f*ck”; used to describe a high level to which a particular characteristic (positive or negative) has been achieved.
IN A SENTENCE:
He’s been hitting the gym hard lately, so he’s swole AF.
bay-sik: Used to describe any behavior, attire or action that is painfully obvious, unsophisticated or transparent.
IN A SENTENCE:
Look at her drinking her pumpkin spice latte. She’s SO basic.
Bahy-bul: Originates from the idea that one would never lie while swearing on a Bible, this term is used to stress an absolute truth.

I have never peed in the shower in my life—Bible!
bich, buy: A phrase used when you are just totally done listening to another person and have nothing more to say to them.
IN A SENTENCE:
Kourt told me she didn’t like my makeup and I was like, “Bitch, bye!”
bluep: Essentially meaningless, a “bloop” is a space filler that can be used at any time, for any reason.
IN A SENTENCE:
Khloé: Loving how your hair looks today, Kim!
Kim: Bloop!
bawse: A person who is on top of their game, generally killing it; a bad bitch.
IN A SENTENCE:
Kylie’s lip kits always sell out instantly. She’s such a boss!!!
chil: Calm; cool/tight; easygoing. Could also be used as a directive to tell someone to calm down or reassure someone that everything is OK. Also a verb meaning “to hang out.”
IN A SENTENCE:
The after-party was chill.
dam, jee-nuh: Originating from the show “Martin,” this phrase is used when one is in awe of another’s exceptional looks, personality or accomplishments.

Damn, Gina—you look fierce AF in that dress.
fakts: The truth, the real deal, what really happened.
IN A SENTENCE:
I need to hit the gym at least 5 days a week to keep my sanity—FACT.
fuk boi: A male who makes it known that he only uses females for sex; usually plays games with women, unfortunately (for the females who choose to spend time with him).
IN A SENTENCE:
I would date him if only he wasn’t such a f*ck boy!!!
lahyf: To make one excited; to give one a reason to live.
IN A SENTENCE
I’m obsessed with my new short hair— it gives me life!
goles: The word people use (mainly on Instagram) to describe the feeling of being inspired to do something better with your life.
IN A SENTENCE:
Ugh, look at this girl’s bikini selfie. Her body is goals AF.
Eye-kon-ik: Used to describe an epic or unforgettable person, place or thing.
IN A SENTENCE
Kim’s ass is iconic.
liht: The state of being so intoxicated, turned up or generally in an amazing mood; can be used to describe the state of mind of a person OR the state of a party or event.
IN A SENTENCE:
The club was lit last night!
Oh-kerrr: Interchangeable with “OK,” this term is used to finalize a statement with attitude.

ratch-it: Ghetto AF. Beyond “ghetto,” it’s used to describe any person, situation or event that is a complete hot mess and beyond saving. However, “ratchet” can also be used in a positive sense—to describe an ambiance as being so busted that it ends up being fun.

Did you see her take her shoes off at the club? So ratchet!
shayd: What is thrown when one person wants to belittle, diss or otherwise trash another.
IN A SENTENCE:
How does she have any friends, when all she does is throw shade?!
slay: To succeed at something amazing just by merely existing; to murder the game in every way.
IN A SENTENCE:
Slay, bitch, slay!!!!
snached: A term referring to good looks, fierceness or something good.
IN A SENTENCE:
Hrush gave me the most snatched glam last night. So good!
skwod: A crew, gang, or informal group.
IN A SENTENCE
My glam squad is the best in the biz!
ess-tee-eff-you: The acronym for “shut the f**k up.”
IN A SENTENCE:
She kept telling the same story over and over, and I was like, “STFU!!”
suhs: When someone is acting shady as f**k; short for “suspect” or “suspicious.”
IN A SENTENCE:
Where’s Kourtney? She was acting real sus last night.
terbo thawt: “Thot” is an acronym for “that ho over there.” A “turbo thot” is an individual who is particularly fast, in the colloquial and sexual sense of the word.
IN A SENTENCE:
That girl is such a turbo thot; she’s literally hooked up with every guy I know.
ternt: Not to be confused with “lit,” “turnt” is used to describe the atmosphere of a party, event or group of individuals. A party is turnt when the vibes are lifted and participants are all having an amazing time.
IN A SENTENCE:
Man, that birthday party was so turnt last night!
vybes: The general feelings that someone or something gives you; a vibe is not concrete, but rather a mood you feel from other people and your surroundings.
IN A SENTENCE:
I am FEELING these denim vibes, honey!
wayv: The current trend, what’s cool right now; what all the cool kids are super into at the moment.
IN A SENTENCE:
That’s the new wave!
yahsss: An expression of excitement; a more enthusiastic version of “yes.”
